The department of Educational Technology was built in 1976 with the support of Center for Communication, Instructional, and Information Technology. In the mid of 1978, the department of Curriculum was to join the department of Educational Technology which, then became the department of Curriculum and Educational Technology (CET). By the decree of Minister for Education and Culture of 2055/D/1995, degree program for Curriculum Development was closed, but the name remains the same until now. In 2005 the department was accredited A by the National Accreditation Board of Indonesia. In 2009 the dept of CET launches its official homepage (www.web-bali.net) and websites (www.courses.web-bali.net & www.training.web-bali.net as well as blogs (www.teknologipendidikan.net & www.tpers.net ). This is to improve the performance of the organization by initiating hybrid learning programs.
The Department of CET has three areas : instructional management, instructional media development, and performance technology. Every individual student may choose his / her own interest on the program. In order to have the right perspectives, the department offers several basic courses which are :
Instructional management area focuses on building up competencies of school programs related to curriculum development, management of strategies and learning resources. Meanwhile, instructional media development emphasizes on competencies of media development and evaluation. Performance Technology is for competencies of performance improvement in an organization.
To support the teachers’ certification program, the department designs trainings and workshop for teachers. Those activities are related to :
Beside those program, the dept of CET may also open program for Consulting by sending instructors to prospective learning organizations and schools.
